About 100 people gathered to honor Idaho’s biggest construction projects of 2008 during an awards ceremony held at the Boise State University Stueckle Sky Center last night.
The Idaho Business Review hosted the reception and gave out nine awards for the top three projects in each of three categories: government, office/retail and private.
IBR Publisher Sean Evans said he was “pleasantly surprised” at the number of projects submitted despite the sluggish economy.
Eighty-four commercial projects, all valued at $1 million or more, were submitted for inclusion. Each project was either started or finished in 2008.
“These projects are of the finest quality and serve as outstanding examples of the diversity and quality of talent found in the state and region’s contractors, architects, engineers and subcontractors,” Evans said.
