ESI constructed Glanbia Foods’ new cheese innovation center and corporate office building that serves as their primary location in Twin Falls. The corporate office building is three stories with a half basement totaling 40,060 square feet and the innovation center, where product testing occurs, is 14,478 square feet. Glanbia’s corporate office has been LEED-NC certified.
The cheese innovation center provides a sterile environment for food testing and houses the most advanced equipment available in the food industry. The facility includes state-of-the-art culinary lab and analytical lab, milk processing facilities, a test kitchen and space to test how the final product performs, like shredding, slicing, melt tests and more.
In order to protect employees and the product, both HVAC and waste removal systems are more prevalent and stronger than most found in commercial construction. Hood exhaust was provided throughout the labs and a strong waste tank provides preliminary waste fluid conditioning.
