ESI’s Marianne Nelson Honored as a TWIN

ESI is proud to announce that the Women’s and Children’s Alliance (WCA) has recognized Marianne Nelson, Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Director, for her dedication to service with the Tribute to Women in Industry (TWIN) award at their annual gala event.

TWIN celebrates women who have built exceptional careers in their industries while also making meaningful contributions to their communities. Nelson was nominated in recognition of both her leadership in the construction industry and her involvement with the ESI CARES Foundation, which partners with WCA to support individuals and families in need.

Nelson has been an influential member of the ESI team since 2010, serving in multiple operational roles before stepping into her current position seven years ago. As EHS Director, she leads the development and execution of companywide safety strategies, promotes proactive risk management efforts, and encourages employee engagement. Her work contributes to the relentless pursuit of safety across ESI’s operations, reducing environmental impact and strengthening corporate responsibility.

Beyond her operational leadership, Nelson is making an enduring impact on the community. She serves as Secretary of the Board for the ESI CARES Foundation and was instrumental in launching the annual ESI Golf Tournament, a key fundraiser supporting its mission. She also helped establish the organization’s first scholarship program, marking a major milestone in the foundation’s continued growth and commitment to champion families, education, and the community.

Nelson continues to grow professionally as well. She holds a degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Marketing and maintains several professional certifications in environmental health and safety. She is an active member of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP), the National Safety Council, and was recently selected as a guest speaker at a regional ASSP conference in Las Vegas. As she gains these experiences, she takes every opportunity to pass along what she’s learned through mentoring young professionals and developing her team.

ESI congratulates Marianne on this well-deserved honor and celebrates her ongoing dedication to Team ESI, the construction industry, and our local communities.
