After ESI’s successful completion of construction on the new Boise Fire Training Center, the City of Boise held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new facility on June 1, 2018. In attendance were Boise Fire Chief Dennis Doan and Boise Mayor Dave Bieter who both spoke about the great need for a facility of this kind for a fire department that answers 28,000 calls per year.

The $12.5 million complex consists of multiple buildings, including a five-story Class B commercial tower burn building that includes two roof training areas, a two story Class A residential burn building, a 5,950 square-foot administration/classroom building, and a 9,800 square-foot single story training & safety building containing offices, a locker room, a classroom, and three apparatus bays with adjacent support rooms. Training for Boise firefighters has already begun in the facility, and in July, the Boise Fire Department will host its first recruitment academy for newly hired firefighters at the new training center.
