Ten Mile Crossing’s Newest Office Build Groundbreaking
ESI is honored to break ground today on the three-story, 73,000 square foot office building. We believe in the shared commitment the development team, tenants, designers, and trade partners all celebrated today: a commitment to job creation, supporting the dreams and endeavors of businesses, investing in our beloved Treasure Valley, and building remarkable spaces that are part of our passion for living and working in Idaho.
ESI breaks ground on Parkway Station, a mixed-income planned neighborhood in the quickest growing cultural and arts district of Boise, the enclave of Garden City. This vertical mixed-use development is comprised of a mix of multifamily units. These are spread between two buildings on top of a parking structure with a green roof courtyard between them.
Each year the Boise City partners with BOMA Idaho to recognize organizations, businesses and individuals that built a new building or completed a building remodel that made Boise safer, more accessible to citizens, featured a unique design, or was environmentally sustainable
Idaho Foodbank, the state’s largest distributor of free food assistance, held a virtual groundbreaking yesterday to welcome its brand new facility in Meridian.

ESI Hosts 4th Annual National Safety Stand-Down to Prevent Falls in Construction
ESI Construction hosted its fourth annual Safety Stand-Down on at Adare Manor in Boise, Idaho this month. The event was part of OSHA’s National Safety Stand-Down week, a nationwide campaign to remind and educate employers and workers in the construction industry of the severe dangers of falls. Falls are the industry’s #1 cause of death.

ESI recently completed the construction of Idaho’s First Medical College, the Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine (ICOM). We served as the construction manager and general contractor for the new higher education building that includes patient and simulation labs, an OMM lab, library, study spaces, open lobby, student lounge plus administration and faculty office and related building support areas.

This past month, ESI hosted company parties in both Boise, the home of ESI’s corporate headquarters, and Portland, a regional office location of ESI. Building the Industry: ESI’s 2018 Summer Internship Comes to a Close
After months of preparation and recruiting, followed by a challenging summer of in-depth learning and training, ESI’s 2018 Summer Internship has finally reached its end. In a short period of just a few months, this year’s group of interns was exposed to the fast-paced world of construction, including practical and professional experience in both the office and the field.
View from the Sky: Boise Fire Training Center Construction
ESI completed the construction of the Boise Fire Training Center on June 1, 2018. The $12.5 million complex consists of multiple buildings, including a five-story Class B commercial tower burn building that includes two roof training areas, a two story Class A residential burn building, a 5,950 square-foot administration/classroom building, and a 9,800 square-foot single story training & safety building containing offices, a locker room, a classroom, and three apparatus bays with adjacent support rooms.

ESI was featured in an article by the Idaho Statesman, highlighting some of our recent projects throughout the greater Boise area. In their words: “ESI built many of the Treasure Valley’s most recognizable buildings. Those include Eighth & Main and the Inn at 500 Capitol in Downtown Boise, the Micron College of Business and Economics at Boise State University, and the Scentsy headquarters in Meridian.”
Staying Engaged: ESI Leadership Team Safety Walk at Micron Building 37 Project
ESI’s leadership team recently visited the Micron Building 37 project for a safety walk in support of the front-line operation team there. At ESI, we believe that Everyone Succeeds Together, and the engagement of senior leadership is vital to the success and safety of every project.
Idaho Statesman: “300 Micron engineers work in a ‘trailer park.’ Here’s what Micron is doing about that.”
Noted in the article by the Idaho Statesman, “Micron is spending $32 million to put up a three-story office building on the campus’s south end to house those 300 workers and 900 more.”
Community Involvement: ESI Helps Together Treasure Valley Unveil New Art in Kuna!
The city of Kuna recently unveiled a new, interactive art piece in the downtown area. The innovative art was funded by Together Treasure Valley, an Idaho Communities Initiative that ESI partners with.

As part of OSHA’s National Safety Stand Down week, ESI hosted its third annual Safety Stand-Down at the BSU Center for Fine Arts project. This year’s focus was the construction industry’s #1 cause of death: falls.
Ground Broken: Idaho State Board of Education, INL Begin Construction on Research Facilities
ESI broke ground on two new research facilities, being constructed in conjunction with the Idaho National Laboratory (INL) and the Idaho State Board of Education. The start of construction on the Cybercore Integration Center and the Collaborative Computing Center (C3) was celebrated on Wednesday, April 11, with key stakeholders and public officials present.

On the day before our concrete team poured the 2000 cubic yards of concrete for 5th and Idaho’s parking garage slab, our drone photographer was there to capture the complexity of the post-tensioned slab preparation.
In Progress: Building Idaho’s First Medical College, ICOM
In 2018, Idaho will take a huge step forward in the future of healthcare in the state. The Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine, the state’s first medical college, will open with a mission to “train osteopathic physicians prepared for caring for persons in Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming and beyond.” ESI was selected as the CM/GC for this new 94,000-square-foot higher education building that will include patient and simulation labs, an OMM lab, library, study spaces, open lobby, student lounge plus administration and faculty office and related building support areas.
Community Impact: ESI Sponsors the 13th Annual Giraffe Laugh Bowl-A-Thon
ESI joined Giraffe Laugh Early Learning Centers at their 13th Annual Bowl-A-Thon to help knock down barriers for childhood education. The proceeds from the event benefit Giraffe Laugh kids and go towards programs to build stronger futures.

Ground Broken: Veranda Senior Living at Barber Station Project Officially Underway
ESI officially broke ground on the Veranda Senior Living at Barber Station. The new, 80-bed assisted living facility coming this winter is a project by Gardner Company.
Topping It Off: New BSU Fine Arts Center Gets Final Beam
ESI celebrated a major milestone on BSU’s new Center for Fine Arts by topping out the building with the final steel beam this week. The 90,000 square-foot, five-story project will be completed in 2019, and the building will house artist studios, gallery spaces, work spaces, and classrooms.
