A Place of Rest and Relaxation
ESI recently completed construction on this downtown hotel, a 6-story, 128-room place of rest and relaxation for the thousands of tourists who flock to Salt Lake City’s Gateway Center. The hotel features a porte cochere, swimming pool, fitness center and a two-way driveway.
Unconventional Hotel Construction
ESI’s involvement included general contracting services and value engineering for this competitively bid project. The unconventional construction required the use of structural metal studs in lieu of a structural steel skeleton. Workers constructed each floor independently as the building went vertical – which proved challenging in intense winter conditions yet optimized the overall budget.
