This new 15,000 square-foot station replaces the city’s oldest and busiest firehouse in downtown Boise, incorporating historical elements, reclaimed wood and bricks from the original building, and a public-facing historical display.
BUILDING FIREFIGHTER ESSENTIALS
Designed to meet the needs of firefighters, the new fire station features a three-bay apparatus area, support rooms, captain’s offices, a firefighter work area, nine sleep rooms, open kitchen, dining, and day spaces.
SUSTAINABILE BUILD
Featuring charging stations and photovoltaic roof top panels, this all-electric station reflects Boise’s commitment to sustainability by adhering to the city’s Green Building code.
