Shaping the Future
College of Western Idaho’s new single-story 15,000 square-foot Horticulture Academic Building includes supporting ancillary buildings: a 5,000 square-foot greenhouse, a 10,000 square-foot barn, and a 10,000 square-foot shop. In addition, the project includes five large lab spaces for Floral, Soil, Animal Science, Food Safe, and Drafting programs. Student experience spaces include a storefront and Student Commons, flexible classrooms, as well as focus/reflection rooms and small group study spaces sprinkled throughout the building.
Making a Connection
ESI is the design-builder, partnering with Cushing Terrell, to bring this project to life. The scope of work includes site improvements for connectivity via a bridge to the main Nampa Campus, planting beds and fields for the Horticulture program, Academic Building entry plaza, site access and parking.
