New headquarters for Mission43
The Idaho Outdoor Fieldhouse is the headquarters of Mission43, a non-profit that helps veterans and their spouses transitioning into civilian life in Idaho, and the Challenged Athletes Foundation – Idaho. The new seven-acre Boise campus supports these two organizations by providing veterans and adaptive athletes with opportunities for outdoor activities and athletics, as well as a supportive community space with resources for health, education, and employment.
The facility is constructed with 1,450 linear feet of mass timber and features an aquatic center with an overhead obstacle course, fitness area, multi-purpose gymnasium with locker rooms, office and administrative support areas, as well as a hyperbaric oxygen treatment center and short-term housing for athletes and guests.
