Test Range for the Department of Energy's Weapon Programs

The Tonopah Test Range (TTR) is a high security facility run by the Sandia National Laboratories and used as a testing range for various federal government weapons programs. In order to complete the work safely and effectively, ESI complied with all necessary federal regulations to protect the privacy of the facility.

Building from the Ground Up

This project involved the complete site development and construction of an 836 square-foot communications hub building. The building consisted of structural steel stud framed walls and roof, metal panel rain screen wall construction, and all site utilities.

Close Proximity to Functioning, Mission Critical Buildings

Part of the challenge of the project was working closely to adjacent functioning, mission critical buildings. In order to install the necessary underground utilities and electrical service, ESI utilized hydro-excavation to prevent vibration impacts to existing structures.
