Topping It Off: New BSU Fine Arts Center Gets Final Beam
ESI celebrated a major milestone on BSU’s new Center for Fine Arts by topping out the building with the final steel beam this week. The final steel beam carries an American flag, a pine tree, and the signatures of those that have contributed to this locally esteemed project. The pine tree is a long-standing construction tradition that symbolizes good luck for the building and the crew.
The 90,000 square-foot, five-story project has come an incredibly long way since its first rough sketches were drawn up by architects at HGA. Upon completion of the construction in 2019, the building will house artist studios, gallery spaces, work spaces, and classrooms.
